From the minutes of ASPO Annual General Meeting, Monday 18th September 2007,
Cork, Ireland: "The present members of ASPO agreed that Kjell Aleklett should continue as ASPO President for the coming year. Aleklett proposed that Mikael Höök should be ASPO Secretary, and this was also agreed. As in the past, co-opted to the ASPO Board are the organisers of the past two ASPO Workshops, and the forthcoming one. Thus the ASPO Board is now:

K. Aleklett President
C. Campbell Honorary Chairman
M. Höök Secretary (mikael.hook@tsl.uu.se)
U. Bardi ASPO-5
R. O’Rourke ASPO-6
P. Prieto ASPO-7 "

First I like to thank the members of ASPO that they reelected me as ASPO President.
If you are interested in the research that my group do about Peak Oil, Peak Gas and Peak Coal at Uppsala University in Sweden you are welcome to www.tsl.uu.se/uhdsg. Just now we have several interesting projects.

My first mission as new president is to organize an international ASPO organization for national ASPO organizations, and I hope that this process can be finished before 2008-01-01.

Five years ago we held the first ever conference on oil depletion in Uppsala, Sweden, http://www.peakoil.net/IWOOD2002/welcome.html. This week the first ever Podcar City conference was organized in Uppsala, http://www.podcar.org/uppsalaconference. Why Uppsala? The main reason for this is that the Korean company Vectus has built the first ever PRT Test track in Uppsala, http://www.vectus.se/eng_index.html.
Peak Oil was also discussed at the conference and the question is if PRT, personal rapid transit, will be the future when Peak Oil hits us.
